Hrvatski Telekom (T-Mobile) Croatia SIM card for tourists
HT sells a prepaid tourist eSIM and SIM in 3, 10 and 90 day versions with unlimited data. Its page shows no price, so check before you buy.
Is a Hrvatski Telekom T-Mobile Croatia SIM card a good choice?
It is a reasonable choice if you want a prepaid line from the incumbent operator and are happy to confirm the price at checkout. Hrvatski Telekom (HT) runs a tourist programme with three durations of unlimited data. The problem for a guide like ours is that its English tourist page did not show a price when we read it, and there are limits in its terms that visitors should know about.
What does HT sell to tourists?
On 8 October 2026 we read HT's "visiting Croatia" page. It offers a prepaid eSIM for tourists in 3-day, 10-day and 90-day versions, advertised with unlimited data. The price field on the page was an unfilled placeholder, so we quote no price. HT points to separate price lists and terms, and says an order button lets you buy the eSIM before you arrive and activate it in Croatia. A separate "Order SIM" form exists for a physical card. The 10-day eSIM comes with a 50 percent discount (up to 6 EUR per ride) on Uber rides.
What do HT's terms say?
HT publishes terms for its tourist tariff, which we saw only through a search listing, not a full read, so treat these as pointers to check rather than settled facts: the terms describe SIM or eSIM options of 3, 10 and 90 days, activation on the first call or data use, automatic renewal, and no roaming abroad. They also say tourist options cannot be combined with other HT prepaid plans. Read the current terms before you buy.
Coverage, registration and eSIM setup
HT's page describes itself as "the network with the largest coverage" but offers no figure or map, so we cannot confirm it. It does not mention ID registration. eSIM setup is by QR code emailed to you, with steps for Apple, Google, Honor, Motorola, Samsung and Xiaomi phones, and the Moj Telekom app is used for account management and top-ups. One caution: HT's general eSIM support page says eSIM is for subscribers, not voucher prepaid users, so use the tourist eSIM product, not a regular prepaid card.
HT compared with a travel eSIM
With no verified price we cannot say whether HT beats a travel eSIM on cost, only that it gives you a local profile at local rates. See our Croatia SIM card comparison and cheapest eSIM page. Compare with A1 Hrvatska, which publishes its prices, and Telemach. Return to the Croatia hub.
Bottom line
Our verdict on the Hrvatski Telekom T-Mobile Croatia SIM card is that the tourist eSIM looks useful, but HT shows no price on the page we read. Check HT prepaid terms and HT coverage before you buy.
Common questions
Does Hrvatski Telekom sell a tourist SIM in Croatia?
Yes. HT's visiting-Croatia page offers a prepaid tourist eSIM in 3-day, 10-day and 90-day versions with unlimited data, plus a separate order form for a physical SIM. The page showed no price when we read it on 8 October 2026, so check the price at checkout.
How much is a Hrvatski Telekom tourist eSIM?
We could not find a price. The price field on HT's English tourist page was an unfilled template placeholder when we read it, and the real amounts are in linked price lists we did not read. Check HT's current price list before buying.
Can I use an HT tourist SIM abroad?
HT's tourist terms, which we saw only in a search listing, say the tourist tariff is not available abroad in roaming. That points to Croatia-only use. Read the current terms on HT's site before you travel, especially if you plan to cross a border.
Is Hrvatski Telekom the same as T-Mobile Croatia?
The two names are commonly used together for the same operator, but HT's own pages we read use only the Hrvatski Telekom name and never mention T-Mobile, so we cannot confirm the link from the carrier itself. We treat them as one carrier and use HT's own site for every fact on this page.
Does HT have the best coverage in Croatia?
HT's tourist page calls its network the one with the largest coverage but gives no figures or map, so we cannot confirm the claim. If you are visiting remote islands, check HT's coverage tools and compare with A1 and Telemach before choosing.
