Telemach Croatia SIM card: the two tourist SIMs it lists
Telemach sells two tourist SIMs, one with unlimited data for 10 days and one with 10 GB for 30 days. Prepaid eSIM is not available.
Is a Telemach Croatia SIM card worth buying as a tourist?
If you want a cheap physical SIM and you are happy to buy it in person, yes. Telemach publishes a short tourist page with two SIMs and clear prices. The limit that matters is that its own eSIM page says eSIM is currently not available to prepaid users, so this is a plastic-SIM option. If you need data the moment you land, a travel eSIM is easier.
What are Telemach's tourist SIMs?
We read Telemach's "for tourists" page on 8 October 2026. Prices are in euros.
- NET2GO PLUS
- 14.90 €, unlimited data and 200 minutes of local calls, valid 10 days from activation. Telemach describes it as unlimited internet for less than 1.50 € a day
- SIM2GO
- 9.95 €, 10 GB, 200 minutes of local calls and 1.33 € of credit, valid 30 days from activation. The page header shows "10 + 90 GB" but the FAQ says 10 GB, so confirm the allowance in the shop
Renewal is by text message: SIM2GO for 9.16 € (text PAKET2020 or 10GB200MIN to 13999) and NET2GO PLUS for 7.96 € (text UNLPLUS to 13999). Extras not included are local calls after 200 minutes at 0.16 € a minute, SMS within Croatia at 0.05 €, abroad at 0.13 €, and data beyond the pack. Prices are as read on that page and date.
Where do you buy it and how does it activate?
Telemach lists its shops, newsstands, grocery stores, post offices and petrol stations across Croatia, and vouchers can also be bought online. The SIM activates on your first call, text, data use or voucher top-up. You can check your balance by texting BALANCE to 13880, dialling *150# or using the Telemach app.
What about eSIM, coverage and registration?
Telemach's eSIM page says eSIM is available to subscription customers and "currently not available" to prepaid users. The tourist page does not mention registration or ID, and it makes no coverage or speed claim beyond saying the 200 minutes apply to all networks in Croatia. Elsewhere Telemach's homepage claims the mobile network most users have switched to, and a 5G page that gives no numbers, so we draw no coverage conclusion.
Telemach compared with a travel eSIM
For a 10-day trip, NET2GO PLUS at 14.90 € is a useful benchmark when you read our Croatia SIM card comparison and cheapest eSIM page. If you want eSIM from a local carrier, look at A1 Hrvatska instead, or Hrvatski Telekom. Back to the Croatia hub.
Bottom line
Our verdict on the Telemach Croatia SIM card is that it is a clear, cheap physical tourist SIM with a published price, and a poor fit if you need a Telemach eSIM, which prepaid users cannot get.
Common questions

Yes. Telemach's tourist page lists NET2GO PLUS at 14.90 euros with unlimited data and 200 local minutes for 10 days, and SIM2GO at 9.95 euros with 10 GB, 200 minutes and 1.33 euros of credit for 30 days. Prices were read on 8 October 2026.
Does Telemach Croatia have an eSIM for tourists?
Not for prepaid. Telemach's eSIM page says eSIM is available to subscription customers and currently not available to prepaid users, and its tourist page lists only physical SIMs. If you need an eSIM from a Croatian carrier, A1 and Hrvatski Telekom list tourist eSIMs.
Where can I buy a Telemach SIM card in Croatia?
Telemach says its tourist SIMs are sold in Telemach shops, newsstands, grocery stores, post offices and petrol stations across Croatia. Vouchers for top-ups can be bought online as well as at the same kinds of outlets, including supermarkets. Check the carrier's own page before you buy.
How do I activate a Telemach tourist SIM?
The page says the SIM activates when you make your first call, send a text, use data or top up with a voucher. You can check your balance by texting BALANCE to 13880, dialling *150# or using the Telemach app. It does not mention an ID step.
Is Telemach the same as Tele2 Croatia?
Telemach Croatia is widely reported to be the former Tele2 operation, but Telemach's own pages we read use only the Telemach name and do not mention Tele2, so we cannot confirm the change from the carrier itself. Look for Telemach shops and the Telemach name on the SIM pack.
