A1 Hrvatska Croatia SIM card: the tourist plans A1 lists

A1 sells tourist SIMs and eSIMs with 5G data in Croatia, in shops, kiosks and online. Here is what its tourist page says, and what it leaves out.

Is an A1 Hrvatska Croatia SIM card a good choice for a visitor?

For many visitors, yes: A1 is one of the easier carriers to read, because it publishes a dedicated tourist page with prices, in English. Its tourist offers combine 5G data with a small allowance of local calls and texts, and you can buy online or at a long list of shops and kiosks. The catch is that the page does not tell you whether you need to show ID, and it makes no coverage promise beyond calling the data 5G.

What does A1 sell to tourists?

We read A1's English tourist-offer page on 8 October 2026. It lists four products, all in euros.

  • 1+1 (two SIM cards): 14.90 €, with 10 days of unlimited 5G data and 100 minutes/SMS within Croatia. It can be a physical SIM or an eSIM.
  • 3-day eSIM: 10.90 €, unlimited 5G for 3 days, with 100 minutes/SMS. eSIM only.
  • 30-day eSIM: 29.00 €, unlimited 5G for 30 days, with 100 minutes/SMS. eSIM only.
  • 120 GB for 90 days: 25.00 €, 5G, no calls listed. Available as SIM or eSIM.

The page is a little inconsistent: the 1+1 plan is labelled "free" but carries a price, so check it at checkout. The SIMs are rechargeable. Topping up adds more unlimited days (or another 120 GB for the 120 GB plan), and a Daily 5G package at 3 € gives 24 hours of unlimited data. Prices are as read on that page and date; they can change.

Where do you buy an A1 tourist SIM?

Online through A1's webshop, or in person at newsstands, petrol stations, supermarkets, Hrvatska Pošta post offices and A1 stores. For an eSIM, the profile is emailed to you after purchase and starts when you first call or connect. Your phone must support eSIM. Moving it to another device means deleting the profile on the first one. Whether you can run it alongside a physical SIM depends on the phone.

What does A1 say about coverage and registration?

The tourist page says "5G" but gives no coverage map or percentage, so we make no coverage claim. It does not mention registration or ID either, though A1 has a separate registration page we did not read. If you buy in a shop, expect to be asked; online, follow what checkout requires.

A1 compared with a travel eSIM

A1's 30-day eSIM at 29 € is a fair benchmark for a long trip, and the 3-day option works for a short stop. A travel eSIM is bought before you leave and covers more than one country. Our Croatia SIM card comparison and cheapest eSIM page lay out the alternatives. Other Croatian carriers: Hrvatski Telekom and Telemach. Back to the Croatia hub.

Bottom line

Our verdict on the A1 Hrvatska Croatia SIM card is positive for planning, because A1 prepaid prices and the A1 eSIM options are published. A1 coverage remains the carrier's own claim, so check its map for islands.
