Airalo pricing: what each plan costs, by size and country

A 10 GB month runs $11 in Portugal and $22.50 in the United States. Here is what Airalo charges, size by size, from prices read at its own checkout.

What does Airalo pricing look like in dollars?

Airalo pricing runs from $4 for a small, short plan to $59-$69 for a 30-day unlimited plan in much of Europe and Asia, and the figure moves more with the country than with the plan. Everything in this guide comes from Airalo's own checkout as we recorded it in August 2026 (13, 17 and 18 August, in US dollars, no code applied), plus Airalo's public pages, which we read on 8 October 2026. This is desk research from public sources. We did not buy or test a plan.

Airalo sells data in two shapes. Metered plans have a fixed pool of gigabytes over a fixed number of days. Unlimited plans have no gigabyte cap but a daily speed threshold, which we cover on its own page. The brand hub, our Airalo review, has the wider picture.

Airalo price by size: the ladder in ten countries

The same plan sizes repeat almost everywhere: 1, 3, 5, 10, 20 and 50 GB across 3 to 30 days. Here is the 30-day side of the ladder, plus the entry plan, as read from Airalo's checkout.

What is the cheapest Airalo price you can pay?

In our data the 1 GB, 3-day plan is $4 in 56 of the 90 countries that sell it, and its lowest price in the rest goes up to $11.50. The 10 GB, 30-day plan runs from $11 (in Portugal, Austria and Thailand) to $52.50 in the Dominican Republic across the 92 countries that sell it. So the Airalo price of a typical month of data depends on where you land far more than on which plan you pick.

The gigabyte rate falls as you go up. In Spain, 5 GB at $9 is $1.80 a gigabyte, while 50 GB at $39 is $0.78. That is why the Airalo price per gigabyte, not the headline, is the number to compare. Our cheapest eSIM table sorts every verified plan that way.

Airalo unlimited plans cost more, and the cost tracks days

Unlimited plans exist in 83 of the 94 countries, at 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 30 days. Taking 7 days as an example: Spain $23.50, Italy $23, Germany $24, Thailand $21.50, United States $25, United Kingdom $27, Japan $27. The 30-day unlimited price is $59 in Germany, $63 in Spain, $64 in Italy and $69 in the United Kingdom, Japan and Turkey.

Why is the same plan two prices in some countries?

In fourteen countries, including the United States, Belgium, Austria, Israel and Canada, Airalo lists some sizes at two different prices. The United States 50 GB over 30 days is $42 on the tier named "Change" and $59 on the tier named "Change+". Airalo does not say, on the checkout page we read, what the extra money buys. Price both tiers before you pay: Airalo pricing for the same size can differ by $17 in the United States.

Does the Airalo eSIM price include fees or extras?

Our figures are the price shown at checkout in US dollars with no code. Airalo's help centre says you cannot extend a plan's validity, and that you can buy a top-up for an eSIM you already hold. It does not give the price of a top-up in the page we read, and our dataset does not include top-up prices. Airalo says validity usually starts when the eSIM first connects to a network in its coverage area, but for some packages at installation, so check the validity policy before installing.

How do Airalo prices compare for a short trip and a long one?

A week away and a month away are different problems, and Airalo prices them differently. For a week, most travellers land on 3 to 10 GB. In Germany that is $8 for 3 GB over 7 days and $16 for 10 GB over 30 days; in Italy $7.50 and $19. For a month abroad, the 50 GB plan lowers the rate in every country of the table that sells one, because the top rung is where the rate per gigabyte is lowest. Airalo also repeats price points across unrelated countries, so the Airalo pricing for one country tells you little about the next. Compare the same rung across countries, not the country's headline.

If you only need the cheapest Airalo plans for a weekend, the $4 entry plan is the cheapest Airalo price in most countries, but it is 1 GB for 3 days. That is $4 a gigabyte, which is the worst rate on the ladder. In the examples above the Airalo cost per gigabyte generally falls as the plan grows, so buy the smallest plan that clearly covers you, not the smallest plan on the page.

Is Airalo the cheapest?

Not everywhere. Across the 47 countries where we hold verified prices for both, Nomad has the lower best rate per gigabyte in 25, Airalo in 20, and they tie in two. In Thailand, Nomad's 50 GB for 10 days is $12 against Airalo's cheapest 50 GB at $27.50 for 30 days. In 46 countries Airalo is the only seller we hold a price for. See Airalo vs Nomad and Airalo alternatives for the head-to-head. Regional and global Airalo plans have their own page, Airalo global eSIM, because their prices are not in our verified set.
