Airalo global eSIM, Eurolink and Asialink: what each covers

Airalo's regional plans have names like Eurolink and Asialink, and its global product is Discover Global. Here is what Airalo says about each, and what it leaves out.

The Airalo global eSIM is one plan meant to work across many countries on several continents. Eurolink and Asialink are Airalo's names for its Europe and Asia regional plans. Airalo's own blog lists six regional products by name: Hello Africa, Asialink, Island Hopper (Caribbean), Eurolink, Menalink (Middle East and North Africa) and Latamlink (Latin America). Its global product is called Discover Global, with a Discover+ version that adds calls and texts. We read these pages on 8 October 2026. This is desk research. We did not install any of these plans.

Before you pick an Airalo global eSIM, one caution: Airalo's blog posts on regional plans are old, and its store pages group plans differently from the blog. Today's store lists regional categories for Africa, Africa Safari, Asia, Caribbean Islands, Europe, European Union and United Kingdom, Latin America, Middle East and North Africa, North America and Oceania. The names Eurolink and Asialink still appear in product URLs and on the blog, but the store page we fetched labelled them just "Europe" and "Asia".

The Airalo Eurolink page we fetched says its Europe eSIM covers 41 countries and networks, with one eSIM and one package for the whole region. A search result for Airalo's product pages showed 42, and an older blog post said 39. The count has plainly moved, and the page does not list the countries in the text we could read, so check the list in the app before you rely on a border. Airalo also sells a separate "European Union and United Kingdom" category, for which we found no details.

On the length of plans, the Europe page showed six durations, 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 30 days, each labelled unlimited. A search result for the product pages also showed fixed-data Eurolink plans from 1 GB for 7 days up to 100 GB for 180 days.

The Airalo Asialink product, shown as "Asia" on the page we read, says it covers 18 countries and networks. An older Airalo blog says 14. The Asia page listed unlimited plans at 3, 5, 7, 10, 15 and 30 days, and search results showed fixed-data Asialink plans from 1 GB for 7 days to 100 GB for 180 days. The page does not list the countries in the text we could read.

What does the Airalo global eSIM cost, and when is it worth it?

We cannot give you a global or regional price we trust. Our verified Airalo prices, listed in Airalo pricing, are country-level plans read in US dollars. The regional and global pages we fetched showed prices in Canadian dollars, and our verified set has no regional rows, so we have left the numbers out rather than convert them.

Airalo's blog advice is plain. Pick a regional plan for a trip inside one area, such as Eurolink for several European countries. Pick an Airalo global eSIM for a long trip across continents. In both cases you cross borders without switching plans. Its product page for Discover Global 20 GB over 365 days showed 137 countries; the Discover+ version of the same size showed 200 minutes and 200 texts. An older blog listed global sizes from 1 GB over 7 days to 20 GB over 180 days.

The check that matters is arithmetic you can do yourself. If you will spend most of the trip in one country, a local plan from the Airalo review is usually the cheaper route, because our data shows a single-country 50 GB month at $27.50 to $42 in places like Thailand, Turkey, Spain and the United States. A regional plan earns its place when you cross three or more borders.

Is a regional plan cheaper than separate country plans?

We cannot say for Airalo's regional plans, because we hold no verified regional prices. What we can say is what the other side costs. A person visiting Spain, Italy and Germany would pay, on three country plans for 10 GB over 30 days, $14, $19 and $16 respectively, from our August readings. Whether a Eurolink plan with one pool of data over the whole region beats the three depends on the pool and the price on the day, and on whether you really need 30 days in each. Airalo's help centre says a data pool is one total for the whole window, not a daily amount, which suits a trip where one country uses most of the data.

What does Airalo not say about its regional plans?

On the pages we read, Airalo does not say which countries are excluded from the global plan, does not give a speed figure, and does not name a host network. Validity, per its help centre, usually starts on first connection to a network in the coverage area, though for some packages it starts at installation, and validity cannot be extended. You can top up from the app, and the blog does not say whether top-ups behave differently for regional and global plans.

If a regional plan does not look right, compare it with the alternatives. Airalo alternatives covers other sellers and Airalo vs Nomad compares country prices against Nomad. Everything is ranked on the cheapest eSIM page.
