What is eSIMCard? A plain description of what esimcard.com sells
eSIMCard is a working travel eSIM shop with apps and partner programmes. Here is what it sells, who runs it, and why we show no prices for it.
What is eSIMCard?
eSIMCard is a prepaid travel eSIM shop at esimcard.com. It sells data plans for travellers, with Android and iOS apps, and it also runs partner programmes for businesses. If you searched "esimcard" wondering whether it is a real store, it is: unlike eSIM Go, it has a working storefront and a checkout. This page says what it sells, from its own pages read on 8 October 2026. It is desk research; we have not bought or tested a plan.
Our main review is at eSIMCard. This page is the plain description that sits beside it.
What does it sell?
Three kinds of plan, per the home page:
- Local plans for one country.
- Regional plans for groups of countries, such as Europe, Asia or the Caribbean.
- Global plans, which it says cover 170 countries.
The home page also mentions virtual number and international calling features. It does not say which plans include them or how they are priced, so we cannot say more. We do not quote any of its prices, for a reason explained below.
How do you install it?
You buy a plan online, then install by scanning a QR code or through the app. The page says you can install before you travel and activate on arrival. The apps let you buy and activate plans, check data use, manage eSIMs and contact support. Payment options listed are Google Pay, Apple Pay, American Express, Visa and Mastercard. The home page does not mention top-ups or hotspot rules, so check the plan page for either.
Who is behind it?
The company's About page says it is based in Longwood, Florida, with offices or references in New York, Brazil and Dubai. The Android app launched in 2020, and website purchasing and the iOS app followed in 2021. It claims over 500,000 downloads, which is its own figure. Beyond eSIMs it lists a global mobile WiFi router called S2 and a global tracker called T1.
Why do we show no eSIMCard prices?
We held 78 eSIMCard prices, read the site on 18 August 2026 and found them wrong. We withdrew all of them. The real catalogue does not fit our four-column record of provider, gigabytes, days and price. On its Japan page there were more than sixty plans where we held three. The same size and length could appear at two or three prices, depending on:
- a Standard or Universal toggle that switches the whole catalogue;
- a per-plan speed limit flag, kept inside a details window;
- a different carrier per plan.
Storing one price per size would have claimed two different products were the same. So we show a description and no price. That is a limit in our data, not a verdict on eSIMCard. The company's home page does not describe Standard or Universal plans, so we cannot explain the difference ourselves.
Does it say which network you will use?
Yes, on at least one page. Its Japan page names KDDI, NTT Docomo and SoftBank against plans. Of the sellers on this site, it is the only one that publishes host networks at all. The names vary plan by plan, so look at the plan you are buying.
What else does the company offer?
Business routes: a distribution partner programme, an affiliate programme and a reseller API for companies that want to sell eSIMs. Support is listed as a Help Center, FAQs, a WhatsApp line and email, and its About page says a team is available 24/7. A refund policy is linked from the home page.
Is eSIMCard worth a look?
Yes, with one rule: read the plan's details before paying, especially speed limit and network. For a price we have verified, use cheapest eSIM, where Nomad and Airalo are ranked. If you are weighing Saily too, read Saily alternatives. eSIMCard is not a wholesale platform; for that, see what eSIM Go is.
