The best Saily alternative depends on what Saily is missing
Nomad, Airalo, Holafly, eSIMCard and eSIM Go against Saily, using only prices we have verified and pages we have read.
Which Saily alternative should you pick?
The best Saily alternative depends on why you are leaving. This page covers only providers already on this site: Airalo, Nomad, Holafly, eSIMCard and eSIM Go. It is desk research from our own data and the sellers' public pages, not a test. Prices are verified US-dollar figures with their dates.
The short version: if you need more than 20 GB, Nomad or Airalo. Need a country Saily does not sell: Airalo. Want unlimited days: Holafly. Want a named network: eSIMCard, with caveats. eSIM Go is not an option for a traveller.
Why look for a Saily alternative?
Three gaps stand out in our Saily review. The checked plans stop at 20 GB. In 46 of the 94 countries we cover, we hold no Saily price at all, including China. And Saily names no host network, though that is true of Nomad and Airalo too. On price, Saily is close to Airalo at matched sizes: Austria 20 GB is $15.99 against Airalo's $16.00. Where it differs, it is usually dearer: Portugal $27.99 against $19, Canada $43.99 against $37.
Is Nomad a good Saily alternative?
Often, yes. Nomad sells 50 GB plans, which Saily does not, and it is cheaper per gigabyte than Airalo in 25 of 47 countries where both are verified. Against Saily directly, in Japan: Nomad 10 GB is $16 and 20 GB is $23 (read 17 August 2026), against Saily's $17.99 and $24.99 (13 August). Nomad's 50 GB month there is $35. Nomad is weaker at 1 GB and in the United States. See Nomad eSIM explained.
Is Airalo a good Saily alternative?
Airalo is the broadest. We hold 1,686 verified Airalo plans across all 94 countries, with 50 GB plans, and it holds the cheapest verified rate per gigabyte in 68 of them. In 46 countries it is the only seller we price, which makes it the default where Saily is missing. China is one: our China page prices only Airalo.
What about Holafly?
Holafly is a different shape. It sells unlimited plans in six lengths, from 3 to 30 days, with no gigabyte allowance, so it does not appear in our per-gigabyte table. It was dearer than a checked rival at nearly every country we read. It suits someone who values no data counting over price.
Is eSIMCard a Saily alternative?
eSIMCard is a real shop and the only seller on this site that publishes host networks, naming three on its Japan page. But we withdrew our prices for it because its catalogue does not fit our records, so we cannot tell you how it compares on cost. Read what eSIMCard is before you go to its checkout.
And eSIM Go?
No. eSIM Go sells to businesses, not travellers; see what eSIM Go is. There is nothing for you to buy there.
When is Saily still the right choice?
For 3 to 20 GB over a month, in the 48 countries where we hold Saily prices, it is a reasonable default. Its 1 GB plan at $1.99 was the cheapest entry plan we hold in Austria, Bulgaria and the Czech Republic. And if you value its built-in ad blocker and virtual location, that is a real difference, not a price one, as described on the Saily app page. Everything priced is ranked on cheapest eSIM.
Common questions
What is the best Saily alternative for more than 20 GB?
Nomad or Airalo. Both sell 50 GB plans, and Saily's checked plans stop at 20 GB. Nomad has the lower price per gigabyte than Airalo in 25 of the 47 countries where both are verified, so price both for your destination. Airalo is also the broader choice, with plans in all 94 countries we cover.
Is there a Saily alternative that covers China?
Airalo is the only seller we hold China prices for. In 46 of the 94 countries we cover we hold no Saily price at all, and China is one of them. Our China page prices only Airalo. Nomad's China page describes a China eSIM too, but we hold no Nomad prices for China.
Is Nomad a cheaper Saily alternative?
In Japan on our checks, yes: Nomad's 20 GB month was $23 against Saily's $24.99, and its 10 GB was $16 against $17.99. Saily is cheaper in places such as Austria, where its 1 GB plan is $1.99. The prices were read on different dates in August 2026, so confirm at checkout.
Is eSIM Go a Saily alternative?
No. eSIM Go sells to businesses, and when we opened its site it had no basket, no checkout and no consumer prices, only a Contact Sales button. A traveller would have to buy from another seller instead. Read our page on what eSIM Go is for the detail.
Which Saily alternative has unlimited data?
Holafly sells only unlimited plans, in six lengths from 3 to 30 days, with no gigabyte allowance. Airalo and Nomad also sell unlimited plans in many countries. Saily also sells unlimited plans, but we hold no prices for them, so we cannot compare them with these alternatives.
