Orange Polska Poland SIM card: prepaid registration and Flex Travel eSIM

Orange Polska sells a prepaid starter that must be registered, and a separate Flex Travel eSIM for visitors with packs from 5 PLN. Read 8 October 2026.

An Orange Polska Poland SIM card is either a prepaid starter, which you must register before it fully works, or the Orange Flex Travel eSIM, an app-based data product aimed at visitors. The two are very different: the starter gives you a Polish number after a registration step, the Flex Travel eSIM gives you data in an app and needs neither a shop nor a plan.

This is desk research from Orange's public pages, read on 8 October 2026. We have not tested the service.

What is the Orange Flex Travel eSIM?

Orange's page for visitors lists packages: 1 GB for 15 days at 5 PLN, 3 GB for 15 days at 14 PLN, 5 GB for 15 days at 24 PLN and 10 GB for 30 days at 45 PLN. The eSIM card itself costs 0 PLN, and the page says hotspot use has no stated limit, you can activate a package whenever you choose, and unactivated packages are refunded after 30 days. You download the Orange Flex app, choose Poland and a package, install the eSIM and switch it on. Support is stated as 24/7 in Polish and English.

The page does not name the networks used or describe coverage within Poland, and does not describe separate registration beyond the app.

How do you register an Orange Polska Poland SIM card?

Orange's registration page says every prepaid starter must be registered before the number works fully; until then calls and internet are not active. There are five routes: through your bank, uploading photos of both sides of an ID card and a face photo, the Mój Orange app, an SMS to 80280 that needs someone with an Orange number to consent, and in a store with an ID or passport plus the SIM. The photo route asks for an ID card (dowód osobisty), so a visitor with a passport is likelier to need the store route. The page names no deadline and no starter price. An eSIM starter can be bought online and registered the same way as a SIM.

What does Orange say about coverage?

The pages we read make no coverage claim for the starter or Flex Travel. We cannot confirm that Orange has the widest rural 4G, so check the coverage map for your route.

How does it compare with a travel eSIM in Poland?

The Orange Flex Travel eSIM is itself a travel eSIM from a local carrier, with prices listed up front, while an Orange Polska Poland SIM card starter gives you a local number but needs registration. Our Poland SIM card comparison sets the options side by side, our where to buy a SIM card in Poland page covers shops, and cheapest eSIM covers data-only plans. We do not name the local network behind travel eSIMs unless the provider publishes it.

The other Polish carriers in this series are Play, Plus and T-Mobile Poland. The Poland hub links the rest, including Warsaw Chopin Airport.
