Inwi Mobile Morocco SIM card: eSIM and prepaid for visitors

Inwi offers an eSIM and prepaid line, but its visitor page gives no price, data or ID detail. Here is what its own pages do and do not say.

An Inwi Mobile Morocco SIM card can be a prepaid line or an eSIM, and Inwi's page for travellers mentions an eSIM offer for visitors. The honest summary is that the pages we read are thin on what a tourist needs: no price on the visitor page, no data volume, no ID rules.

This is desk research from Inwi's public pages, read on 8 October 2026. We have not tested the service.

What can a visitor buy with an Inwi Mobile Morocco SIM card?

Inwi's eSIM page says there are three options: an eSIM pack with a top-up, which includes 20 MAD of credit; a mobile plan with an eSIM; and an eSIM on its own, topped up later with the offer you choose. It shows packs at 120, 220, 320 and 520 MAD but does not clearly say what each includes. You get one by visiting an Inwi agency or using the eSIM page online. The page says it is for "new or existing inwi customers" and does not address tourists.

The separate traveller page lists roaming passes for Moroccans going abroad in 120+ destinations. For visitors to Morocco it only points to the eSIM offer, with internet "included" but no amount, price or validity.

How is an Inwi eSIM installed?

Scan the QR code in the eSIM sleeve while connected to Wi-Fi and follow the steps in your phone's settings. You need a compatible handset. Because installation needs Wi-Fi, an Inwi eSIM bought in a shop is easiest to set up at the shop or hotel, not on the street.

What ID do you need to register an Inwi line?

Inwi's registration page only says you must register your line by entering your mobile number to access Inwi services. It does not list documents, passport rules for foreigners or deadlines. Ask at an Inwi agency before you rely on a passport being accepted.

What does Inwi say about coverage?

Its eSIM page calls the network "maximum-speed", a marketing phrase with no map or figures. We found no 4G or 5G coverage claims and cannot rank Inwi against Orange or Maroc Telecom.

How does it compare with a travel eSIM in Morocco?

Inwi's pages give a visitor less to go on than a travel eSIM, whose price, data and validity are listed before you buy. The Inwi route makes sense mainly if you want a Moroccan number. Our Morocco SIM card comparison sets the options side by side, and cheapest eSIM covers data-only plans. We do not name the local network behind travel eSIMs unless the provider publishes it. For arrival logistics see Marrakech Airport and Casablanca Airport.

The other Moroccan carriers in this series are Orange Morocco and Maroc Telecom. The Morocco hub links the rest.

Common questions

Is an Inwi Mobile Morocco SIM card good for tourists?

Possibly, if you want a Moroccan number, but Inwi's visitor page gives no price, data volume, validity or ID rules. Its eSIM page lists packs at 120, 220, 320 and 520 MAD without clear contents. Ask at an Inwi agency before relying on it.

Does Inwi have an eSIM?

Yes. Inwi offers an eSIM pack with 20 MAD of credit, a mobile plan with an eSIM, or an eSIM alone topped up later. You get it at an Inwi agency or via its website, then scan the QR code over Wi-Fi. A compatible phone is required.

What does an Inwi eSIM cost?

Inwi's eSIM page does not state an eSIM price. It shows packs at 120, 220, 320 and 520 MAD but does not say what each contains. Check with an agency or at checkout for exactly what the pack includes and how long it lasts.

Do I need a passport to register an Inwi SIM?

Inwi's registration page says you must register your line using your mobile number, but it lists no documents and gives no rules for foreigners. The eSIM page does not mention ID either. Bring a passport to an agency and confirm.

How does Inwi compare with Orange and Maroc Telecom?

On the pages we read, Inwi gives the least visitor detail: no price, data or ID rules, and a marketing-only network claim. Orange lists Marhaba offers from 120 MAD and a three-month validity. We could not open Maroc Telecom's pages. Compare coverage maps yourself.
