Saily in Canada: cheapest way in, dearest thing above it

The range, and where these prices come from

Saily's Canada line is five plans, and every price on it was read from Saily's own site on 16 August 2026.

These are verified figures rather than estimates, and the correction they carry is large. An earlier version of this page led on a $3.99 entry price that Saily does not charge, and quoted $19.99 for the 10 GB month that actually costs $30.99. The range is also longer than we previously described: it now runs to 20 GB. Hotspot is supported. There are no calls or SMS.

It is the cheapest way into Canada

The entry plan is $5.29 for 1 GB over seven days, and nothing undercuts it. Nomad sells the identical shape — 1 GB, seven days — and this page used to say it did so for $4.50. Nomad's Canadian prices have since been read off its own site: the real figure is $7, the same as Airalo's 1 GB over three days. Holafly's shortest Canadian plan is three days of unlimited at a verified $17.90.

So Saily opens first at the bottom end, on a price read off the seller's own page. That is the one place in Canada where it wins, and everywhere above it the gaps run the other way and get much wider.

Above 1 GB, almost everything undercuts it

Ten gigabytes is the number to look at. Saily's $30.99 is 82% more than Nomad's verified $17 for the same allowance over the same thirty days. Airalo's verified Canada Mobile package charges $23. The only 10 GB Canadian month in our data that costs more than Saily's is Airalo's dearer Canada Mobile Plus at $31 — two cents above it.

Twenty gigabytes is the same story: $43.99 against Nomad's verified $31 and Airalo's verified $37. At five gigabytes Saily's $17.99 is a penny under Airalo's verified $18 and $4.99 above Nomad's verified $13.

The 3 GB plan needs one qualification. At $12.99 it is dearer than Nomad's verified 3 GB month at $8 and dearer than Airalo's verified $9 — though the Airalo plan runs seven days, not thirty. If you want three gigabytes to stretch across a month, Nomad is the cheapest route by a wide margin.

Per gigabyte, it never catches up

Saily's rate improves as the plans grow, from $5.29 a gigabyte at the entry to $2.20 at twenty. It never arrives anywhere good. The best rate anywhere in our Canada data is Nomad's verified 50 GB month at $69, or $1.38 a gigabyte, with Airalo's verified 50 GB at $84, or $1.68, next. Airalo's verified 20 GB month, at $37, works out at $1.85 a gigabyte. Saily's best rate is worse than all three.

So the old framing on this page is dead in both directions. Saily is not the cheapest entry, and it is not the worst-value gigabyte either — Airalo's own 1 GB three-day plans, at $7 and $8.50, cost more per unit than anything Saily sells. It is simply a dear seller at every size.

Shape: thirty days, no unlimited, nothing short

Four of Saily's five Canada plans run thirty days, which is a tidier ladder than most of this field offers, and the range now reaches 20 GB — a heavy month is no longer off the end of it, just expensive. There is still no unlimited option. For that, Canada has Holafly at a verified $86.90 for thirty days, and Airalo's verified unlimited Canada Mobile line, which runs from $19 for three days to $86 for thirty.

Short trips are the real gap. The shortest Saily plan is seven days. For two nights in Vancouver, Airalo's verified 3 GB over three days at $8 is the right shape, and for a long layover nobody in this market sells a single day — Holafly's shortest window is three days of unlimited at a verified $17.90.

The network claim we pulled

An earlier version of this page said Saily used two named Canadian carriers, and drew a conclusion from it about coverage in British Columbia and Alberta. There was no source. Saily does not publish a host network for Canada and we hold nothing on it, so both the claim and the conclusion are gone.

Most of this field is the same. Airalo, Nomad and eSIMCard publish nothing either, and eSIM Go has no consumer page on which it could — eSIM Go sells wholesale to resellers and publishes no consumer price — checked on esim-go.com on 18 August 2026, where there is no basket, no checkout and no per-country page — so its rows cannot be bought or ever verified. If your trip depends on being on a specific Canadian network, no provider here can honestly sell you that, and a prepaid SIM from the carrier you want is the only way to be sure.

Coverage limits apply to everyone regardless: the northern territories, remote northern Quebec and Ontario, wilderness far from towns and backcountry trails in the Rockies are thin on every national network.

Who it suits

The buyer who wants one gigabyte and nothing more. At $5.29 for a week Saily is the cheapest verified entry in the country. At ten and twenty gigabytes it is near the top of the market.

What is left above that is a real argument, just a smaller one. Every plan above 1 GB runs a full thirty days, hotspot is included, and the eSIM works before you land. But the case that undercutting Saily meant accepting an unverified price has gone: Nomad is cheaper at 3, 5, 10 and 20 GB on figures read off its own site.

If you want a verified price and a lower one, that exists too: Airalo's Canada Mobile package beats Saily at ten gigabytes ($23 against $30.99) and at twenty ($37 against $43.99), and sells the short validities Saily does not.

One thing the new prices change at the bottom of the market: a Canadian prepaid SIM at roughly $25 from an airport, no ID required, now costs less than Saily's 10 GB month rather than six times its entry plan. It is still only worth buying if you need a Canadian phone number, but it is no longer absurd on price.
