Vodafone Albania SIM card: tourist eSIM packs read from Vodafone's own site

Vodafone Albania sells a tourist eSIM online and lists a physical SIM Tourist Pack. We read its packs and prices on 8 October 2026, and note what it does not say.

Is a Vodafone Albania SIM card a good choice for a visitor?

It is the one Albanian operator whose tourist offer we could read in full, which counts for something. A Vodafone Albania SIM card or eSIM suits a short stay if you want a prepaid pack with the price printed in advance. What we cannot do is tell you its coverage is better than a rival's, because Vodafone's pages we read make no coverage claim of their own. They link to network and 5G pages that we did not open.

What does the Vodafone Albania tourist eSIM cost?

On 8 October 2026 the announcement at vodafone.al (published 4 May 2026) listed four prepaid eSIM packs, prices in lek including VAT:

The page says the packs are added from 15 May 2026 and can be activated only through Vodafone's official website. It does not mention ID or calls and texts, so we will not guess at either. Prices change, so check the page before you pay.

How do you get the Vodafone Albania eSIM?

Vodafone's eSIM activation page gives the order: check that the phone supports eSIM, choose Apple or Android, pick QR-code or manual installation, buy a Tourist Pack, read the details emailed to you, install the eSIM and start using it. Do that on Wi-Fi before you rely on the signal.

And the physical Vodafone Albania SIM card?

The home page lists both an eSIM Tourist Pack and a SIM Tourist Pack, Vodafone shops with a locator, an online shop and a top-up page. It does not give a physical-pack price, a registration rule or an airport counter, so those are open questions for the shop. Bring your passport.

Vodafone Albania SIM card or a travel eSIM?

A travel eSIM is bought at home, with nothing to collect. Vodafone's tourist eSIM is also bought online, so the gap is narrower than it is in most countries. On 8 October 2026 Vodafone's announcement listed four packs including VAT: 1 GB for 1 day at 0 lek, 3 GB for 3 days at 600, 5 GB for 5 days at 1,000 and 20 GB for 10 days at 1,700. The page says they start from 15 May 2026. Check the page again before buying.

Where can I buy a Vodafone Albania SIM card?

Vodafone's home page lists an online shop and Vodafone stores with a locator, and names both an eSIM Tourist Pack and a SIM Tourist Pack. The tourist eSIM packs can be activated only through Vodafone's website. The page we read does not name airport counters, so ask in a shop.

Do I need a passport for a Vodafone Albania SIM?

The eSIM announcement and activation page we read do not mention ID. Vodafone's pages do not state a registration rule for the physical SIM either, so we cannot confirm one. Carry your passport when you visit a shop, and ask staff what they register.
