Personal Argentina SIM card: what we could not confirm
Personal is Telecom Argentina's mobile brand, but its website blocked our reader, so this page is short and says so.
Can we recommend a Personal Argentina SIM card?
We cannot, and we want to be plain about why. On 8 October 2026 we tried to read Personal's website (personal.com.ar) and our tools were refused access; a search limited to that domain failed for the same reason. So we have not read a single Personal page today. Every claim about its plans, eSIM, prices or coverage would be from memory or from third parties, and our rule is to publish only what a carrier's own site says. This page therefore tells you what we do not know.
What we could not verify
- Prepaid SIM and eSIM. We cannot say what Personal sells to prepaid customers, whether it sells an eSIM, or what either costs.
- Tourist or visitor offers. We could not check whether Personal has a visitor pack or whether passport registration is required.
- Coverage and 5G. We have no coverage statement from Personal itself. Our own network notes rank carriers in Argentina, but those notes are an unverified lead, not a source, so we do not repeat them as fact.
- Prices. We quote none. Argentine prices change often, and the right figure is the one on Personal's site.
How to check Personal yourself
Open Personal's website in your own browser and look for the prepaid ("prepago") and eSIM sections, then the coverage map. Before you buy, confirm three things: whether a foreign passport is accepted for registration, whether an eSIM is offered to prepaid customers, and whether coverage reaches where you are going. If you are going to be in a shop anyway, ask there.
What to do instead
You can compare the carriers whose sites we could read: Claro in Argentina and Movistar in Argentina. Neither states a visitor product on the pages we read, so for a short trip a travel eSIM bought before you fly is usually the simpler route. Our Argentina SIM card comparison and cheapest eSIM page set out those options, and the Argentina hub gathers the rest. We will update this page when we can read Personal's own pages.
Bottom line
Our verdict on the Personal Argentina SIM card is simply that we could not check it. Until we can read Personal prepaid and Personal eSIM pages, we make no claim about Personal coverage.
Common questions
Is Personal the best SIM card for Argentina?
We cannot say from Personal's own site, because our tools were blocked from reading it on 8 October 2026. Some third-party sources rank Personal highly, but we do not treat them as verified. Check Personal's coverage map yourself and compare it with a travel eSIM before deciding.
Does Personal Argentina have an eSIM?
We do not know. We could not read Personal's website, so we cannot confirm whether it sells an eSIM, to whom, or at what price. Open its site or ask in a Personal shop. Our Argentina comparison page lists travel eSIM options if you want something you can install before you fly.
Can a tourist buy a Personal SIM card in Argentina?
We could not verify it. Personal's site was inaccessible to our tools, so we cannot say what ID a foreign visitor needs or whether a tourist pack exists. Ask at a Personal shop or read its terms before you plan around buying a chip on arrival.
How much is a Personal Argentina SIM card?
We have no verified price. We were unable to read Personal's website, and Argentine mobile prices change often. The correct number is the one on Personal's own prepaid pages. Be wary of figures on other sites, which are often out of date.
Why does this Personal page have so little detail?
Because our rule is to publish only what we read on the carrier's own site, and Personal's site refused our reader. Rather than guess, we say what we could not confirm. We will expand the page when we can read Personal's prepaid, eSIM and coverage pages directly.
